welderblake21 Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 So I got 2 xfl 15 dvc4 ohm subs in a custom built box powered by a borrowed temporary pos spl2600.2 amp it's wired in bridged mode to 4 ohms. They sound awesome at low volume no issues, but when I turn it up and it starts getting down it makes this awful and I mean horribly awful noise like a fart or something but if I turn it down it goes back to sounding great? Is this caused from not enough power I figure it's putting out like 400rms if that but it was just to test them out. Do I have the amp setup wrong or something I'm not sure it's driving me crazy. I'm planning on getting a orion xtr 2500.1 soon so hopefully that amp will fix the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated

Triticum Agricolam Posted July 19, 2016 Report Posted July 19, 2016 Its probably some kind of mechanical issue either with the subs or the box. Could be a loose joint somewhere for example. Under powering the subs is not going to be the problem. Because it's flexing everything so I'm thinking it might be the truck flapping the subs sound great I've been adjusting it. I need to just take this pos out and order a dd1 and the better amp before I mess em up
