Sub selection for small ported box

And you should never ever reference your gain levels. Unless it's set right with a oscope/dd1 saying "gains were turned down" is completely irrelevant.

Realized I had posted in the wrong section lets tey here. I am about to purchase a new flush mount box for my 2013 mustang. Unfortunately the largest I can get the box that fits in my trunk is 2.5 cubic feet. I know for a fact I either want an AA Havoc, or SSA Xcon, now which one would function best in a box that small port tuned to 30hz?

People can sometimes fit two 12s in a mustang, frequently you can slide a box from the backseats, consider this before limiting your options, pretty sure you will be able to use almost any single 12" you want in that trunk.

I will just go with the icon. I like what ssa has to offer anyways, also I am specifically getting a box form fit tonmy trunk, that is why the size was limited. Also as far as refrencing the gains, I just meant I had everything turned way down, I mean I could have been clipping but am very careful not to demand more than my equiptment can give.

2.5 NET : I think a lot of 12" subs would like that. It's not small for a 12" at all.

I had an Icon, then an Xcon : on the same 1000 watts amp and same box, the Xcon was louder, heavier !

But the Icon is one of the best sounding sub I've ever had.
