06RTCharger
Going to get the Hybrid Imagines this week. What would be a good SQ 10" sub for $125 ? Some medical bills came up so money is limited to around $450 Will use existing amps and hu. Should be able to purchase new hu in a month or two (the Pioneer 80prs) Will be deadening doors before installing speakers You have a box for a 10 already? The alpine type-R 10inch subs are in ur range, not sure how they rank on SQ. $149.99 On sonic electronixs

cdlowe
Does anyone have any experience with Volara foam ? I saw someone referenced on another thread ? Just wondering about quality, what thickness to use etc. ? Trying to get all my deadening materials, so I only take off the door panels to do everything( speakers, deadener etc) Also trying to figure out how much deadener to buy ? Doors are 36" wide by 24" height Looking at a 50mil thick deadener Im figuring about 25' sq ft for the two front doors. A total of 3 layers per door. Outer door skin, inside of door and door panel
bcbrassard
Dynamat has 1/8-1/2" Acoustic foam that has a adhesive backing and works very well. I have used it in both my builds and was very happy with it. Little spendy but a great product imo.
Skullz
Volara is very close to what others sell, but you will need to buy some contact spray to attach it, you can get it in various thicknesses. This is from a local company. http://www.foamforyou.com/volara_foam.htm They sell it with and without adhesive backing. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

bcbrassard
1/4" for better cancellation of back wave inside the door cavity. I have done 1/2" on my trunk lid, 1/4" inside of doors and 1/8" for panel rattles. works great everywhere. Look on amazon for it Dynamat acoustic foam. Comes in rolls and super easy to work with. bcbrassard
So the first pic is my kick panel pods for my Lancer. I sound deadened all areas inside and on the Back. Then covered using 1/8 acoustic foam. Second and third pics are the wifes Malibu build where i deadened about 90% of the door on the inside and covered it with 1/4" acoustic foam and i used the FAST ring system witch seems to have helped some. Dont think it hurt. RF T365's sound great. Building A-Pillar pods for a set of Focal 3.5" comps. Build has good sq now but going for better this fall.
