Okay. Good to know. I'd gladly add pictures if I could figure out how (sorry I'm still new). I can't for the life of me find a way to add them.

All good man. The more you provide the more we have to assist you.

Looks like your on the right track for sure. I would sand the crap out of what you have and see where your at. You will likely need to glass more

You have to figure out the transition from the plastic to the fabric, more mat and resin helps greatly. Better yet drill a ton of holes for the resin to seep into the plastic.

If you are looking for some body filler for plastic pieces check this out:

Thanks a lot, bsneon. Yeah I was kind of wondering how I was going to get it to blend to the plastic easily. Also, should I wrap some fiberglass mat around to the back side of it to get it to stick?

Here is the link to mine, didn't fiberglass it like billz did his, I just laid out how I wanted it to look then wrapped it and glassed it, didn't need too much filler because how I laid the glass...

Here you can see one sand out other ready to sand . You want it to feather out together . No ridges. Sand between each step, everything a build up of material and knock it down.dont be afraid to start over if it's not coming out the way you want.
