JeepAndBassXJ
Amazing number out the trunk...damn... Nice! I as well am fucking finally gonna get me some ultra/super caps EDIT: since it looks as though they are hooked up how is your voltage doing going from the 2 banks to 4 (I think that's what you did correct?). I know you still have the alt situation you want to address but still... Hopefully it breaks 52s soon I did not test voltage difference going from 2 to 4 banks. I think that because I only have that one smallish amp it really is just overkill and did not make the kind of jump that going from none to two did. I'm trying to set myself up for 2 amps. Probably should have tested that but I have not been to scientific about this so far. JeepAndBassXJ
Cleaned up the trunk some more. Got the amp mounted out of the way so I could pull the box in and out with less trouble. Moved the subs up to the top of the box and it seems to act just about the same as when they were forward. I did some other little tweaks and got the score up some. JeepAndBassXJ
So I have decided to do some box/speaker upgrades. I feel that I have maxed out this box on given power and haven't quite made that 152! I'm sure it would on a full 5k but until I get around to adding an amp my sub builder set me up with a nice pair of 15s to try. Here are some pics of the 12's setup. And now the new 15's! Going to build a box this week YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/JeepAndBass Website: https://www.jeepandbass.com/ My Jeep: 157.3dB @26hz Drag Style 162.3dB @36Hz Outlaw 160.7db @35hz Headrest My Honda: 155.4dB Drag Style 158.0db Outlaw

fecupe2001
Hey champ, very nice topic!! I use to be ranked #1 on latin america on street trunk class, after a bunch of testing i found that the less depth you use on the box the louder and more efficient it gets, try building your next box as wide as you can to mantain the same internal space that worked better for you but using less depth, my last box was only 12.5" deep with motors very close to the back wall in order to get some sore of relation between back wall and peak frequency (the further away you are from the back wall the better reacts to lower frequencies) , my best score on 2 massive hippo 12s and 3k clamped was 152.1 @ 53 hz on a mazda 323 trunk, car did over 150 on 2k also, i was using 2.6 c/f box BTW I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. I have started to discover the same thing. My first go around in trunk so I'm learning as I go. I just finished up a new box for 15s, much more shallow this time! Hope to get up to where you were. JeepAndBassXJ
So here is the final break down between my original box "bitch box" and the 12's box "Box 1.0" I will be changing up to 15s and seeing what happens there. The 12's box has some flaws that people have pointed out to me so now I know! But there were some gains at least! Bitch Box 3.3 12s - 500W 143.7 - 1k 146.6 - 2k 149.3 - 3.5k 150.8 Box 1.0 3.3 12s - 500W 143.6 - 1k 146.9 - 2k 149.6 - 3.9k 151.8 Box 2.0 3.2 15s - 500W 144.6 - 1k 147.7 - 2k 150.4 - 4.2k 153.0 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/JeepAndBass Website: https://www.jeepandbass.com/ My Jeep: 157.3dB @26hz Drag Style 162.3dB @36Hz Outlaw 160.7db @35hz Headrest My Honda: 155.4dB Drag Style 158.0db Outlaw
