Need Some Info On A Kenwood Amp Vs Kicker

I have 2 15' kicker cvr's

Which amp would be better to hook them up with the:

kicker zx300.1

or

Kenwood Kac-9103D

I just did a escalade with 3 15" dual 4ohm L7's and put a Kac-9103D on each one and it wangs. a little power hungry but they are seeing right around 900 watts each. what impedance are your subs.

kinda need that info man makes a world of difference seeing how kickers dont like to go below 2 ohms

I would agree the Kenwood is decent and can "wang"...but they tend to shut down when they get hot if they are run at 2 ohm and WILL DEF SHUT DOWN if run under 2ohm.

The kicker amp would be more "bulletproof" and prolly never shut down on ya even at 1ohm...but I'd recommend a BIGGER kicker amp or the kenwood for more power over that lil zx300.

The lexus sc300 I did in the member builds section I ran the previous yr/same amp (kac 9152D) and this is how they performed...run nice and loud with one on each HX2 15 D4 at 2ohm mono each, just over heat a lil too often.

go with kicker, kenwood amps look nice imo...but when they get hot, forget playing them long, i have put a ac vent RIGHT on mine, blowing full blast, and within 40 seconds of full tilt, the bish shuts off every time....i have the elctrical to support it so its not that

but out of ur choices kicker will make you much happier

He speaks teh truth! so far its good with the lade but they are in an open area so no probs yet.
