One_crazy_dude
Hey all, would you run this amp at .5 ohms. I'm running it at 1 ohms with 2 different subs (not at the same time I swap them from time to time). A sundown sa 15 and a audiocube 315 in a 4 cubed box after port displacement. I'm thinking of a more powerful sub like a audiocube 400 series 15, or ssa icon or dcon 15 don't remember witch. Or what sub would you recommend at .5 ohms? audiofanaticz
Those amps are not built to handle .5 ohms, even though they list the power at said ohm on the site they also say not recommended. They are not over built strong amps in regards to wiring them low, and can blow with ease. If you want more power, buy a 2nd one and run 1 per coil at 1ohm each, or strapped at 2 ohms. hdorre
They do power, yeah. But based on what ive seen and heard, the longevity of CABs is meh. Id go a different route fosho. One_crazy_dude
Sorry for the long wait to reply. I'm always busy. Anyway I'm not sure my alt will run 2 amps safely. I do have 2 100 ah agm bat's in the back my alt is stock @ 160 amps. I guess I won't be running this thing @ 1ohms. I have had it almost a year with no problems. So let's look at different driver options. I was looking at ssa xcon, psi level2. Any other suggestions this amp will power nicely and be an upgrade from the sundown and audioqube I have now? Thanks
n8ball2013
The thing with .5 is your current draw would be damn similar to two at 1 ohm. So if you can't do two at one you shouldn't attempt the .5 either THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. Mitchaford
When you say audiocube are you combining Audioque and Soundqubed? If so do you have the hdc3 15? 2008 VW Jetta Team Fi 12 CT 4000.1 CT 125.4 PWX 6.5 80 PRS EB Flex 2/0 Second Skin ^^^ Build ^^^

I would get the HDC3. Its been my backup sub for about two years now. It bangs for the money. Cheap sub that really delivers imo. With that sub and amp combo you would have a nice system. My buddy has the hds3.15 on their 1200.1 and its a solid system but my hdc3 shits on it tbh. 2008 VW Jetta Team Fi 12 CT 4000.1 CT 125.4 PWX 6.5 80 PRS EB Flex 2/0 Second Skin ^^^ Build ^^^

Mitchaford
At the time I had it on a ct 2200. Obviously a bit more power than his 1200 but still it was a big difference. I'd get that sub over the hds for sure. I would love to get an hdc4 but they only have it in d1 and i need d2 since I only have room for one sub and im not running anything at .5 I'd give you mine but I like it too much. 2008 VW Jetta Team Fi 12 CT 4000.1 CT 125.4 PWX 6.5 80 PRS EB Flex 2/0 Second Skin ^^^ Build ^^^
