Enclosure for dual SoundQubed 10's HDC3.1

I have two SoundQubed HDC3.1 10's that I want to build a box for. I'd like some help with a box design.

The max space I can work with is the following:

height: 14
width: 39
top depth: 20
bottom depth: 25

It's going in a 2011 Mazda 6. I want to seal it off from the rest of the trunk. My electrical is Singer 370a, front battery: XS Power D1200, and rear batteries (2) XS Power D3400. Powering the subs will be two Hifonics BRX2400.1D.

I want it tuned to ~33Hz.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You have a vertical turning slot port on a slanted box, this makes it more difficult to build than needed.

Thank you for replying, Joe.

I have plenty of experience with woodwork. The construction process is not what I am concerned about. I just want to make sure that the design of the box is good.

The design is going to be difficult too. In order to have a 26 inch port, part of it will have to go along the back wall if you want the port on the same side as your subs. On a box with one angled side, this will cause the port length to be uneven causing the port opening to be on an angle to compensate for the uneven length.

You can do it that way, with having the internal port opening angled, but you don't have to.  You can leave the internal port mouth straight and just measure down the centerline of the port to get the effective length.

Do you mean something like this?

I went an initial 2.5" in for the port line to compensate for the 5" difference from top to bottom.

Is that correct, or am I completely off?

Yeah, that will work.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated.

With that design, will that give me the desired port area per foot, net volume, and tuning frequency that I had in the Torres calculator?

Given the amount of power you are going to be running, I'd like to see more port area, like 90 sq in if you can make it work.  I understand space is limited though, so compromises may have to be made.
