Yes I've used them on amplified chryslers with pretty good results but nothing beats a new head unit lol. Look at the stereo harness, it's got power, ground, left spk, right spk and everything els is handled through the white-white/org (ignition, dimmer, amplifier, fader ect) I have tried using the pac c2a-chy5 also but it still had fixed volume control. On a side note, the RF360.3 has its own volume control built into its control center knobs and can be used as volume if tapping the factory stereo pre-amp. It also has multiple inputs and can be selected with the knobs right at the control center. Question: if i installed a typical head unit, and wanted to retain function of the stock mids/highs, would i be able to plug speaker outputs from the head unit into the harness and leave the orange-white/white wires disconnected? Would the DSP process that signal? If it did, i understand we could lose the fader and dimmer functions. If you were to extend the factory unit wiring and hide it with the power, ground & can bus wires still connected then it should work. Once you disconnect the factory stereo it no longer sends a command to power up the amplifier. Your hidden factory unit will still be used for fader & balance but the volume can be left alone and used with the secondary unit.

Spanka
That pac unit is awesome!! Was able to tune to 25 and 85!! It is full volts all the way to 20hz and all the way up past 120!! The only way to go if you want to keep the factory head units. My problems are solved now to get this thing tuned in perfect.. thanks guys for your help. I was hoping to use just the sub output at this time without wiring extra amps up. Spanka
Yeah, So this is plug and play.. you can just plug it in and run RCA to the sub amp and the speakers can just stay on the factory amp! Even has a remote amp turn on wire!

Spanka
I am only using mine for subs. The rest of my speakers are running off the factory amp and I still have full function of the factory 3 band EQ, Fade and balance. all my chimes work nav voice everything! Great product!!
