Recently the rubber surround started to crack and break . When I touched it, some of it was very brittle. It never in the sun and I had the subs for 8yrs. Crazy 8s Drums Posted May 24, 2018 Report Posted May 24, 2018 8 years was a pretty good run and you got your money's worth. There are some rubber conditioners that may help your next set last longer. Definitely not Sundown since he has Fi woofers. Which leads me to being amazed with his issue because I never knew Fi had that problem. I do know Audioque/Soundqubed had this issue, the surrounds turn a yellowish tint and it happens even sooner with continuous exposure to the sun.
