Truck Blow-through sound quality, HELP!

Hi All! This is my first post, so please be gentle. I'm in the process of creating a blow-through box for (2) 12" subs. I have the box built, and the hole cut and booted from my bed into the cab. This is in a 2002 Dodge Dakota. In my lack of planning, I didn't realize that the bed floor sits higher than the cab, so the floor of the bed, and the floor of the cab don't line up. That being said, after all is said and done, the hole from the bed to the cab is only 6.5" high, by 27" wide after I put the beauty panel on and adjust for the bed movement.

My question is this: If only half the sub surface is firing into the cab, and the other half is firing into the wall of the bed, what kind of sound can I expect? This is a sealed box, I'm not a big fan of ported boxes. Since low frequencies are omnidirectional (is this correct?) will it matter? I'd hate to finish up the work only to have the sound be muddy, or get so much rattle that I can't enjoy it.

As on option, I've also thought about going the complete opposite direction and going with (3) 8" subs which will just about shoot into the cab nicely. But I've never had subs that small so I'm not sure how they'll sound, or how loud they'll get. I really don't want to bottom them out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been doing as much research as possible, but can't seem to make up my mind. By the way, I listen to mostly Punk, rock, and metal which is why I prefer a sealed box.

If you're building it how i have a mental picture of you building it from what you described then it sounds like youd be building a really shitty 4th order bandpass.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of the box installed with the subs facing the cab, but I have a pic of the cutout, and a pic of the box itself so you can see how high the box sits vs. the cutout. My intention wasn't to build a 4th order bandpass, let alone a really shitty one, LOL. I was hoping that the 12's would rest flush against the bed wall,  shooting into the cab. Obviously I failed.

I would cut the hole higher, but in Dakota's, there's a cab brace that runs along the top and is roughly 6" tall. In the cab, I cut as tall as I can.

So after looking, I think I'm leaning towards (3) CT Sounds Tropo 8's. I think it'll be easier to make them fit based on the cutout limitations. I've never heard 8's before, so I hope they sound good.

Just have someone design you a 4thorder band pass and have the port firing through your opening.

A sealed enclosure is a waste of a blowthrough.

Thanks to those who chimed in. I think I'm abandoning the blow-through idea. I'm not big on creating or having a 4th order bandpass box created, and the hole isn't really big enough for me to flush any subs into the cab. I think I'm going to weld up a cover to seal the hole on both sides and just go with some low-pro 10's or 3 8's in the cab and be done with it. I'll take this as a lesson to research before cutting!
