Rematog
I'm running 3000 watts rms (about 217 amps) and the amps are prob about 50% efficient so that means they will actually be pulling around 435 amps rms. My main lead (the one in question) is going to be between 18-20 feet long. What size power cable do i need to run 435 amps at 20ft long? looking at a chart it says i need a 2-2/0 wire. wtf is that? Does that mean two 2/0 wires? http://www.audioslavemusic.com/p/2018/01/wire-size-ampacity-chart-wire-gauge-amp-chart-distance-marine-inside-wire-amperage-chart.jpg
reedal
1/0 OFC is good for 250-300 amps at 20ft. I would recommend using two runs of 1/0, due to it being easier to work with than 2/0 or larger SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=
TaylorFade
Is your power run from the front going straight to the amp? Or do you have a secondary power source in the back?
