Battery any good

Recommended Posts

I have 2 of these as my "trunk batteries" got em free cause a buddy bought them for his power chair and they didn't fit correctly.  Never really compared them to real car audio batteries and was wondering if they are worthy to stay put and not get replaced

Go to Walmart or your nearest auto supply store and shop around. You should have not problem finding decent AGM battery's at a reasonable  price. But hay ... run what you want. would i run those? NO!

My shop carries interstate batteries and I can get em at a discount too, just was wondering about what I've been running for last year or so, used em cause I got em.free and they last a solid 8 hrs in a power chair. They haven't seemed to hinder me yet, just was wondering how they compared to even a budget battery. I'm.saving for atleast a pair of better better batteries soon, but can get a pair if these same ones for free again, which would make a total of 4 of em that's why I was asking if they were worth a f#@k.

  • 2 weeks later...

I thought my batteries were bad but long story short a bad ground kept them.from getting charged for almost 2 weeks. That being said it took almost a week and a half before they were dead enough to really notice they were low on voltage.  Recharged them, fixed the ground issue ( for now,  have all new power wire coming)  and both batteries test great ( can hold a carbon pile tester at 500cca for 30 seconds with no issue. Tester suggests half cca for 15 seconds to test a battery).  I'm am happy as hell with these batteries,  especially since they were free, been going for over a year or so now. Only gripe is the terminal setup,  have them side by side and jumper wires between them to run them in parallel.
