assman Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Not sure if anybody pays attention to the horse races,but today was the Kentucky Derby.The second place horse's jocky pulled up after the race and the horse fell to the ground breaking both her front ankles.They euthanized her minutes later. All I know is there was this giant buildup for the race that took awhile, then they started the race and it only lasted acouple minutes and it was over. Then they talked about the horse witch was a couple minutes. Then the vet came on and said they had already youthanized the horse. I swear it couldn't have been more than 20 minutes from the start of the race, till the death of the horse. I thought what kinda shit is this. I didn't care for the whole thing a bit. Forevrbumpn Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 yeah, no need to kill a horse just for some broken ankles I know a horse cant lay on its rib cage for long, so laying in bed waiting to heal is out of the question, but yeh, killing the horse just cuz it cant race any more, damn... it could heal up and just go back to grazing in the fields or somethin doesnt have to race again a few years back when my mom broke her leg and arm when she tripped and was diagnosed with osteoperosis, no one killed her Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
