I decided to clean up the gtx today...

first i had to get rid of little black tar spots ALL OVER THE CAR

so i used some of this to get the black spots off

Carshitclean.jpg

I cleaned the entire car (soap/water), then i Dried the whole car

I used paper towels and added a little Xylene to the paper towel and very tediously went over about ever inch of the car getting all the black spots off the car.

after every section (front door/ back door/ front bumper/ rear/ etc) i would stop and clean that area with soap and water and dry again.

after i was done, just incase i missed any i washed that whole car over again

after doing that i cleaned the wheels and armoral'd (sp?) the tires

also armoral'd all the black pieces in the car

and swept out the car/ changed the towels on the floor mats

you might think this will ruin your paint but it wont. put straight kerosine in a spray bottle, meguirs sells a yellow "brick" that you must have if you are serious about a clean car. the kerosine will eat through the brown strips which is most likely just fall out. i used to detail mercedes-benz, and rolls for a living that is how they taught me to do it.
