Painting over Duratex?

Recommended Posts

you want to coat it with duratex to add texture and then paint over it right?  as long as the duratex is COMPLETELY cured (like several days rotating it in the hot daytime sun if you dont have a heated paint booth) you should be able to scotch pad scuff it and then paint over it no problem.  however, it may just be easier to look into plastic texture spray paint, like this stuff by SEM:  https://www.amazon.com/SEM-39853-Texture-Coating-Aerosol/dp/B000PL074S

OK, I figured I'd try a leather textured wrap....

Color is a little off, but the texture is close enough to my interior

Now, any tips for painting over vinyl? 🤔

Picss

I dunno what it is with this place, but posting pix in my threads have always been hit or miss 🤔

They always work in the initial post as well as previews, but the links go dead in the following posts (like my last one)

Lemm try again:
