chewie
ok for two stroker 15s it calls for 4 cu feet tuned at 40 hz does this have to be per speaker ? or can i put two speakers in one 4cu ft box tuned to 40 hz and be fine ? or will i need 8 cu ft tuned to 40 hz ? i went here http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html and put in these values in this order. 30 20 21 21 1 4.5 0 i can fit two of these boxes in my trunk. would this be ideal?? also ports would be facing up vented into the cab via vent holes. speaker facing the trunk. port against the back seat. facing up and i under stand that i need to compensate for space taken up by the speaker. is .443 of a cubic foot enough for compensation or would i need a full square foot or so ? Torres
cant speak for all 15's...but most i've seen go for around 3-5 cubic feet for each sub
chewie
well if i put the sub opposite of the port instead of next to the port will this change anything ? aka magnet facing port instead of magnet parrallell to the port. Torres
i wouldnt think it'd made too much of a difference. not 100% sure tho. you do want to keep it as far away from the port opening as possible tho. and as far as i know... your .443 estimate for sub displacement is a safe estimate

Noobtastic14
Subs back ports up is fine. 4cuft per chamber of 8cuft common (recommend separate personally) brace brace brace. Some possible solutions to fitting a box that big in a trunk is 1) building two separate 4cuft boxes and put them in 1 at a time. 2) build in the trunk. -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. ALPINE408
That's 4 cubes each sub and I have put 15's in a 2 cube box 4 total with displacement this is an spl set up burbed a 152.2 and bass raced a 49.9 but about the 100th time that's a guess the speakers blew so ya 4 cubes each Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown? Noobtastic14
its incomplete, but a while ago i did THIS. Read through there and do as much as you can lol 8cuft is big, double baffle the front cross with 2x4s or threaded rod and but angles in all the corners... blah blah blah -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional.
