From what I have seen and heard, almost always it is louder when faced towards the rear in a trunk car. Maybe that changes once it is sealed. Oh it gets a lot louder once you seal off the trunk like this. it made a huge difference cuz all the air pressure has nowhere to go but into the cabin. Good ported box, looks really strong too, sweet subs and lots of power should get very loud! Looks good, Just 1 suggestion. I would never put a box up in flames near the truck like that. Ashes could come down too and be on the roof and not know and cause damage too. But glad to see you were careful with it though and love the new look and box.
Chris Posted May 22, 2008 Author Report Posted May 22, 2008 it's WAYYY too loud to make a video around my house, so I drove out to a mall we have & on the way there was a car show so I turned it up & everybody NO DOUBT two blocks ahead of me were just frozen by how loud it is for a trunk car. Out in the middle of nowhere in a mall parking lot. Just a test before it got dark. Will be a hell of a lot louder with the subs and port firing to the rear and not the cabin. after being aimed forward AND SEALED off it will be way louder. It should anyway. Your right, for most people in most situations, aiming rearward is best. Not if you isolate the cabin from the trunk though. good shit Chris, nice vid too.
