sorry guys, im just tellin it like it is, i had a sony reciever that i spent a decent amount on, and it worked half ass, in dolby digital the center channel cut in and out, and in stereo mode the damn sub pre out didnt work.

my uncle spent alot on a brand new sony hdmi 7.1 reciever and its havin the same problems.

maybe we just have bad luck with sony?

but it sounds like there's a short in that channel on the amp, only way to fix it is to open it up and see, or have someone do it for you.

Hmm never had any problems with my sony equipment.....I've ran my sony receiver down to 1 ohm for over 30mintues til it got to hot and auto-shutdown let it cool for 5 min ran just fine.....still have it and its 6 yrs old.
