2 Ohm Stereo Or 8 Ohm Mono?

alright i dont know what to do, i can either wire the sub(dual 4) down to 2 ohms and wire it to one of the channels on the amp. otherwise could i wire it to series and bridge the amp?

here are the specs of the amp

4 Ohm RMS Power: 2 x 150 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

2 Ohm RMS Power: 2 x 300 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

4 Ohm Bridged RMS Power: 1 x 600 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

would running it bridged with an 8 ohm sub give me the 300wrms i need for the level 2? wouldnt it be more efficient. i need somebody's advice, thanks.

yes 8 ohm bridged would be 300 whats.

8 ohm bridged is the sum of the wattage of your 4 ohm stereo numbers.

alright got the amp and got everything installed today! big difference going from 25wrms to 300rms lol. now i have another question. when installing the amp i had to turn the gain up quite a bit in order to make the sub loud, there is no audible distorsion and i turned the gain down a little after i could start to hear it. but right now my bass boost is on about +10, gain is almost 3/4 of the way up, and bass knob is at 50%. ive never had to turn an amp up this much, is it because i am running it at 8 ohms? the subwoofer is deffenetly louder and sounds alot better after i added more power but i just dont understand why i had to turn the amp up so much. any ideas? thanks
