BAGGEDBIRDS.com
1/4" closed cell foam to be exact they call it landau padding here at the upholstery shops but its the same stuff. I guess they use it under landau tops on cars. i used it on my 'glass dash cover and blocked it so i didn't have to finish the glass as nice. I have had terrible luck using anything other than a block by hand with 120 grit on the foam. Starting is the worst before the "skin" is off of it. Do get any goughing or anything with the air tool? i may have to try the air grinder on it. i like it since it doesn't crush as easily when you pulling vinyl over the edges. 1st SMD "System of the Month" Feb. 2007 Zapco Studio 500 (2) Zapco Studio 300X Zapco Studio 204 (2) (2) FI 12ssd's w/ copper coils DLS Iridium Tweeters DLS UR2.5 MidRange FI. I only use the air grinder on the edges to bevel them down. For the overall blocking of the foan, I use hand power. Don't want gouges as you mentioned. Forevrbumpn
Thats gotta hurt man, I never even had a surgery yet great job on the glassing, padding, and tweed I want to try tweed some time, is it easy to work with? I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
