I dont think it would end up being that hard, since the silverado's do come from the factory with the 5.4L engine which is, for all intents and purposes, a LSx block with sleeves to reduce displacement. However I think it would be alot cheaper to do just a plain LS1 swap, since you can find those engines for fairly cheap, and with the money you save you can buy parts the would make it put out much more power than a stock LS7. as far as suspension, I dont think you would have too much of a problem (not sure about fullsize suspensions), but you would kind of defeat the purpose of a go-fast motor if you want to put a wall of 18's in there.

thats ford there buddy ;) 5.3 is gm :D

APS makes a turbo system for the corvette of course.. magnacharger is pretty much the best supercharger for the ls series engines, everyone on corvetteforum has them, if you wanted to go that route, twin turbo kit is like 10 grand though

There is a truck running around here locally with an ls6 in it. its a 07, which i like that body style better anyways..motor has ALOT of work into it and is naturally aspirated, no supercharger or anything and i believe it makes somewhere in the 650 horse range. The owner of the truck is actually the head mechanic at the local chevy dealer, if i see him around or anything ill try to get some more info out of him...

if you had an LS7, it wouldnt matter if you had the wall of 18s or not, it would still be fast :D

the ls7 would be a badass swap into that truck.

youd have to get a new tranny, new rear end, new driveshaft, new motor mounts(may idk if the v6 uses the same as the v8's), and work on the suspension, but if youre gonna bag it youll have it covered.

i say get a duramax and twin turbo it and make a fucking beast.

diesel is definately something you can get tons of power from, but it would be ALOT more expensive, and ALOT more work than swapping in an LSx engine, or pretty much any other gas engine. Since were just throwing out ideas, why not go with a Merlin 630 big block. you have to run race gas, but it really isn't that much more expensive than diesel.
