Amp/alternator Question

Am I gonna be able to run 4 subs off of a mono amp?

What subs are you talking about? You'll more than likely be able to run all 4 off a mono amp. I do, and did in the Beretta (god I wish I still had that car)

140 to 180 amp alternator + Couple yellow tops + Big 3 upgrade = set to go.

I was thinking of gettin an 1800 watt 4 channel amp.

I'll bet thats a off brand amp using a max rating thats abour 4x what it will actually produce.

The 4 channel amp I was looking at was a lanzar. so if i get say, an 800 watt mono amp and run 4 subs off of it it'll send 800 watts to each sub? Sorry for all the questions. I'm fairly new at this.

it still depends on the subs( what ohm the voice coils are, and if they are single or dual voice coils) and what ohm the amp can be safely played at. but yes, you can run 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,...... subs off a mono amp.

The subs I was planning on getting have single 4 ohm voice coils and the amp is an 1100 watt power acoustik class d2 mono block amp.

wut u gotta remember is the rms power that is being put out is split up amongst the four subs equally.

so say u have four subs that are rated 500 rms u would need an amp that is 2000 rms.

with 4 single 4 ohm coils u can get a one ohm load. wut are the subs and rms rating on them?

1 ohm load but not limited to other ohm loads. It being a power acoustik amp, it may not be stable at 1 ohm.

you can also run all 4 subs at 4 ohm, or 16 ohm lol

u r correct.

lol @ 16 ohms though. @ that ohm load u would prolly get like 300 watts out of an RF T4000.1bd lol

The subs are logic sound labs mdx's. It says they can handle 750 watts rms.
