Chris Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Here's an older video I just found from a few months ago. Back then I had the subs in a sealed box, pointed into the cabin & wired to .75ohms. Got decently loud, but can't keep up with my 4 type r 15's I have now which are ported & sealed off from the trunk. Enjoy: Quote 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR.

Chris Posted June 29, 2008 Author Report Posted June 29, 2008 Actually I threw the T1000's back because of SQ. The subs are all D4 coils & each pair is wired to a 1ohm load. I now have 3 deep cycle batteries & the starter battery with factory alt. Big 3, 2 runs of 4 gauge, 2 runs of 1/0gauge: Quote 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR.
FI_Aaron Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 how does that sound? im thinking of tryin maybe 6 of those on my explorer Quote Lets Go Ski
Chris Posted June 29, 2008 Author Report Posted June 29, 2008 Well, they are louder than a son of a bitch that's for sure. If I had a lil more free time, I'd wall it & give each sub more airspace instead of the 2.5 cubes each they are seeing right now. 4 15"s on 3krms definately wangs. AI James Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 pretty ghetto looking imo. design something for the 4 of them and clean them wires up Quote
01xtreme Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 pretty ghetto looking imo. design something for the 4 of them and clean them wires up true. I'll bet they would get quite a bit louder if they were all in one box, and sound better too. Seems like you would have alot of cancellation with the current setup.
