justinqualls1
I was woundering how good the Kicker comp vr series are. I can get a good deal on them and was woundering if they are good or not. I want to be loud!
ISO
They are a nice quality mid line sub. If you can get a good deal on them they are worth it. ISO
Kicker makes a nice product so whatever you choose from thier line will be good. I'm an L7 fan myself. I might push the CVX on you but you would need alot more power to run abunch of CVXs. So I say try out the Comp VR I think you will like them. dwright27
for the money i would grab the DD 500 series. a buddy of mine did a test and he gained 1.5 db's switching from the CVR's to the 500 series DD's. same power, and same box, same vehicle. and i think you can get them from DD direct at clubDD prices for $125 or so a piece shipped. Derrick824
IMO Kicker cvrs are the best bang for the buck subs out there. Here are some vids of a pair of cvr 15s I played around with in my Explorer. They are powered by a Sundown 1500d. The box is basic Kicker specs of 6ft w/ four 4" ports tuned to 35hz. There is no doubt in my mind that I could get over a 148 with a higher spl tune. I paid $240 for that pair. burp vid, 147.3 on music, Flo Rida - Elevators (yes there are 2 1500s in there but only one is hooked up, you'll notice that the one on the driver's side doesn't have any speaker wires connected)
Derrick824
and let me add that banginAltima has done a 146.5 out the trunk of his Altima with that same setup.
