EricR Posted December 24, 2008 Author Report Posted December 24, 2008 well......either i need to tune my amp and head unit or my tuning in the box is way off. its hittin about 45 hz and up pretty good....i put a few songs with the lows on em and it sounds like complete ass. ive been workin on it since i got off work at 5pm and its now 1am...no food or nothin so this is kinda disapointing....im leavin town for christmas tomorrow so ill do some more work on it saturday when i get back. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

EricR Posted December 27, 2008 Author Report Posted December 27, 2008 well this is gonna be put on hold due to recent circumstances....but i did mess with it a little before i left wednesday and i had the subsonic filter set wrong and i had the rca's on the wrong output on my deck. a few things i need to do before i get it metered... 1. 200a Alternator 2. 2 kinetik 2400's in the back 3. Seal off the box from the trunk 4. Reinforce inside of box with fiberglass 5. Get a new head unit. 6. Get another saz 1500d those are not in any particular order...just listed them as I thought of it. im pretty sure the tuning in the box is good as it did sound good with what power i had and considering i don't have any bracing yet.....baffle is double 3/4 inch though. ill update this in a couple weeks after i get my clutch fixed i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

EricR Posted January 18, 2009 Author Report Posted January 18, 2009 well i sold the civic......3 days after i got it back from the mechanic having the cluth replaced a guy at work offered me 4k for it on the spot so i took it. im buying a 2002 F150 Crew Cab either tonight or tomorrow whenever the guy calls me back. its gonna get dropped and back seats are coming out i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
