I am hoping someone has a solution for this. My T10001bd makes an aweful rattling noise from the top cover. Not the removable one but the one with the fan in it. Of course it only does it when the bass hits, has anyone else had this issue? Whats the best way to solve it. I was thinking about putting some dynamat underneath the cover, but I dont know how that will effect the cooling on the amp. :search:

is it comming from the cover itself, or the plastic that houses the fan, or around the fuse?

Your best bet would be trying to take out the 5 small allen screws (2 on top, 3 on the front by the switches) and remove the pin by the rca input/output, and try to put the cover back on again. There is a small grove that the cover locks into place towards the top of the amp and maybe it fell out.

I will try that. its driving me crazy. I can touch the cover slightly and it stops rattling. I just havent had time to mess with it.

I had a minnor problem with my T500.2.

It was the 2 aluminum tabs on the top corners (if your stairing down on the amp) weren't bent perfect so I had to adjust them alittle.

Around the cover of the fan you can try a thin weather stripping tape.

/\/\/\/\/\ Yea thos two tabs on the top are the only thing that secures the cover down on the top of the amp If they pop out or get a lil out of wack the cover wont be held in place and is probolly why it rattles.

I havent had a chance to mess with it. But I am sure out of all the advice, one of those will work. I will be able to work on it tomorrow, I will keep you posted.
