We have this put together again with the 8-layer round coil again - using different glues for assembly as well as the PROPER nomex voice coil wrapping! We'll try to get some good testing in on it ASAP.

The 12-layer flat coil is sitting on my desk too... looks ridiculous. We'll test that once (IF ???) we tear it up again

The outer-diameter is almost exactly the same and the winding height is a bit shorter to get the right impedance - it can't be any fatter or it wouldn't fit the gap, the flat wire is so much thinner we got 12 layers in place of eight.

If it tests well enough to offer I will suggest it only for burps - I expect the BL^2 / Re to get too high to really be "useful" daily.

The 8-layer round with our 5-spider pack actually makes a pretty good daily sub - that is what I'll suggest for most people if this guy goes production.

I want 2 any plans for 12's? I'm guessing 10's are a no because of the motor being so wide

When they are made they will be available in 12s, 15s, and 18s.
