Ok, obviously a big block is gonna suck down gas like no other compared to a little 4 cyl, but when i never knew was...do tuners with their little 4 cylinders with mods still get good gas milage? or are all the mods just taking it all away from the engine?

You won't get as good of gas mileage as a stock engine.... if your planning on taking a stock 175hp 4cyl and making 300hp your gonna loose a good buit of gas mileage while it will still be good it won't be near as much as the stock motor.

From what my experience (91 talon tsi awd aftermarked turbo, engine mods like ported and polished head, headers exhaust and some dry nitro) I couldnt stay out of it enough to get good gas milage. My buddy has a built civic with like 11lbs of boost and he says it effects his milage alot.

the reason why people with modified imports get alot worse gas mileage is because they cant keep their foot out of the gas....... I got great mileage with my boosted/swapped civic hatch

I have a 98 gt with most of the bolt ons and 373's installed and im gettin over 20 city drivin regular, ima say close to 30 highway

Not bad for havin 300hp under my belt

And if i decided to add a vortech charger like my buddy did on his my gas would still stay the same if i didnt get into the boost of course

Technology has alot to do with it, and holdin my lead foot up

^^^^^^I agree with him, I know a guy thats got a twin turboed lingenfelter z06, and they have the 427's in them, I mean its pushing almost 1,000 HP but he can still get 25 MPG highway if he stays in 6th and just cruises not puttin the pedal to the floor
