07sOnAtA sp.ed
Hey, thanks for checking out my topic 1st of all, 2ndly ... as you can see in the "topic description" im trying to find out what a "Daisy Chain connection" is between two amplifiers. If anyone knows what it is please tell, and if possible describe how to link the amps in this fashion. Bass4Lyfe
when you've got multiple amps for your substage, you may want to be able to control all of them at once and have them do the same thing - like when you turn the bass knob up you want it to apply to all of the amps. maxilink (SP?) i think does this, there are other methods also. I'm not an expert in this area- hopefully someone else will chime in Quote ~Matthew 1998 Toyota Camry XLE V6 3L (1) ScyTek Astra 4000RS-2W-1 2-Way Remote Start Alarm with Shock and Proximity (1) 20% Tint All Around (Gately Audio) (1) 250 Amperage HO Alternator (1) Big 3 Done In 1/0 (2) Kinetik HC2400 Power Cell (1) Alpine IVA-D106 Receiver (1) Peripheral Video Bypass Device (4) Alpine SPS-17C2 Speakers (1) Alpine KCE-422i iPod Control Interface (4) Sheets Dynamat Extreme; for speakers (1) 10 Square Feet Hushmat (Trunk & Rear Deck) (4) DC Audio Level 4 15" D2 Subwoofer w/ Level 5 Coils (1) Wall Built By David, Tuned to 32 Hz (1) Rockford Fosgate T40001bd Amplifier (1) Stinger 1/0 Wiring (2 runs of + 2 runs of -) (1) Stinger Volt Meter
ALPINE408
Some amps have RCA inputs and RCA outputs you run RCA's from one output of an amp to the others input and so on that's a daisy chain The master amp gets the input from the deck Edited July 14, 2008 by Team Bassick (ALPINE) Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown? kingsuv
I've had as many as 8 daisy chained. I would at least use a line driver to help bump up the rca voltage. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

hotshot27
daisy chain is using the rca inputs and outputs on amps. this is NOT strapping the amps, where both amps do the same thing. when daisy chaining, i'm pretty sure you have to set each gain individually and control each amp individually. Yes this is true setting the gains on both amps is called line matching When strapping amps this step also has to be taken unless you run rf that's the only company that I know of that the master amp sets the slave amps Daisy chain = linking amps Strapping = making to amps into one huge amp Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown?
