ok i cant get winisd alpha to work...but how does this sound...2 4x6" aero ports? would that get me into the 35-40 hz tuning range?

If you are really unsure of port dimensions, then you should stick close to what the sub manufacturer recommends.

PVC works fine for ports if your client is not a perfectionist, they also can be painted. I used to use bondo to attach them to the MDF.

When you decide on the port dimension in square port, there are converters on the internet that help you convert a square port to a round.

If you are not sure on round ports, talk them into a slot port, easier to build and you already have experience with your box.

i thought about slot port, but then i thought aero ports would prolly look better if i ported it through the rear deck...ill keep searching and see what i can find

i wanna port it through the back deck of a 04 civic ex, and want it in between 35-40hz...what do you reccomend? what width and what length??

Are those dimensions you PMed me correct? Are they external or internal dimensions? For a single Kicker Comp 12" I recommend using only one 4" port. Thats a low power sub and won't be moving a ton of air. I'm guessing you'll only be using around 150watts for this sub. For a 2ft net box a single 4" port needs to be 12" long for a tuning of 35hz and 8 5/8" for a tuning of 40hz. The tuning frequency is up to you and your listening preference.

Now if you're set on using two 4" ports then they'll need to be 25 3/4" long for a tuning of 35hz and 19 1/4" long for a tuning of 40hz. Keep in mind that the 4" Precision Ports are only 17" long.

thank you for everything!!!!!!! those are external dimensions, yea, he is only giving it around 175 watts daily, its a shity amp so it may be even less...i think ill stick with the one port and start at 12 long and cut an inch as i see sound goes...can i use just a simple 4" wide pvc pipe? it may not look as good, but i can always spray some extra fleckstone i have on it
