Matching Amps

i have 2 1500D's. wanting to put them to a shocker 15. the 15 has dual 1 ohm coils and the amps are 1 ohm amps. 1 amp sounds good but its at 2 ohms. like to put an amp on each coil and i know all amps are not equal in output so how do i match both amps to put out the same power so both coils would hit at the same time so i get no distortion.

match the gains.

set the amp gain on one amp to 1500w rms, check the output by doing a 50hz burp at 75% volume, use a dmm set to ac voltage, record that voltage number and set the gain on the other amp to that same number, whilst burping a 50hz tone at 75% volume.

It doesn't actually matter much if the amps aren't perfectly gain-matched. As long as their phasing is perfect (and you'll know really quickly if it isn't) then the waves will just add properly anyway. You'll be giving slightly more power to one coil but because they're so tightly interwound it's not like it will make one coil heat up faster than the other.
