littleitaly1990 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 From what Ive heard they usually take away sq... A vitrolic, megalomaniacal sadistic psychopath.
carraudio Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 I had a 10" Treo SS in a bandpass box and it hit hard but they take up alot of room and you can't hear if your sub is distorting. From what I have seen is that they work best with a low power system, but I have not heard alot of them. Chris Carr 2006 Grandprix The Stereo Clarion MAX675Vd, 160Gig iPod Coming soon... Forevrbumpn Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 I just got rid of my XXX18 in a transmission line, and threw in a older Transmission line bandpass- 10" sub Only- its tuned at 40hz, but its so musical, plays so cleanly, and so far has been equally as loud as the xxx18 But this isnt your standard BANDPASS box, its a sealed sub, firing in to a quarter wave transmission line.... But I dod like a good bandpass too this is the style of bandpass Iam running right now, again its ONLY 1-10" with about 350rms to it, same as the 18" I just sold, but its designed on quarterwave concept That is just a standard dual 12" bandpass, firing thru rear deck, it was tuned to about 50hz, but because its a bandpass box, it was strongest from about 40-25hz, pretty narrow banded as most bandpasses are, it was definitly Loud and clean below 40hz, but lacked high end response, punch, just good solid low end rumble if you are curious about bandpass, maybe try single sub t line bandpass? more effeciency, better bandwidth, and over all louder I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
