dmanson
i've seen multiple people post on having some of the RF power amps putting out more watts at 2 ohm vs 1. i don't know how that works but it's nothing new. 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative. bass lover
That's so wierd. Aren't the T1000BD's more under-rated?
audiofanaticz
The amps effiency rating is proboly way higher at 2 ohms compaired to 1 ohm. But it still dont really make sense since rated power at 2 ohms is 1500rms, so for it to be doing almost 800rms more then rated power, you would think that it should do well more then 200 watts above rated power at 1 ohm. audiofanaticz
That's so wierd. Aren't the T1000BD's more under-rated? yes they are, around 1400-1500 rms @ 1 ohm. Ive seen mine pull around 2000 tho, but that was with a lower then recommended load, and signifigantly higher voltage.
ISO
Rockford has stated that there was a run of T20001BDs that were making equall to more power at 2 ohm instead of 1 ohm. I was under the impression that RF had corrected this issue but I guess not. Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.
