@ his House windows Down  bassraced a 149.5

@ the show  Bassraced a 147, dunno why its so low compared to his T/L  but thats the numbers.

no burp because the Judge had no sweeps(db Drag Discs) available. pretty weak shit that a judge doesnt have any DB Drag Discs.

OK guys, I'm back

So I went to the L.A. show on sunday...It was OK. Maybe 15 cars, no trophies just plaques, but all the same the judge was nice.

I bassraced a highest 147.3 at the show. Officially my old box metered a 147.5 on Doug's meter. To the ear the new box is MUCH louder. On, my meter it is ONE db louder than the old box in bassrace. Getting a perfect start is the key. At home you can do it without the fear of getting DQ'd with an EARLY START.

The reactions of the crowd were priceless. I had at least 5 people jump out of my car in fear...LOL. It was the loudest bassracer of the day.

Old Box - 147.5 - official, 148.5 at home

New Box- 147.3 - official, 149.0 at home

Official Scores at the Dash. and YES. My Bass Boxing is louder than Burp! - 155.5 DB Drag Burp- 155.6 - IASCA Bass Boxing on music (30 seconds straight) sealed up Builds 1. The Acura Integra build = http://www.stevemead...s/page__st__6802. BLK SIN Build = http://www.stevemead...w-pics-10-6-07/

  • 3 weeks later...

i wish i had seen this post right when the pics of the box in the car were posted...My "smartass" comment woulda been under one of the pics of the box filling the whole back of the car including trunk and backseats: "Priorities".

I have the same Integra/Gen3 2dr (mines a 97) and my setup would be LOUD like the big boys if i dint insist on keeping my back seats but maybe someday I'll have a 2nd ride w/ some storage and I can yank them out. Iguess there's no substit. 4 airspace.

BTW-were those scores on a TL mic?

If so- MAD props. I can only touch 150db (on music) on an AudioControl mic w/ my 4CVR12's sealed and in the trunk. MUCH less on a TL.

~150db on a TL mic IS STOOOPID LOUD. (it's all relative of course)

Nice work David and congrats RedBaron.

Sidenote-Anybody think a CRX style box (subs up/ports back) might get over the 150 hump? This setup w/ no seats looks an awful lot like a crx environment.

Just my 2cents.

Ernesto,

Found out the reason for the differrent numbers, his termlab didnt have the new software for bassrace so its abit differrent.

Boom916

yes it was a termlab, and thank you.

as for CRX style, we have tried that and this is louder but (this box)  is also abit bigger and alot more port area,  the old box was only 33x25x15.5 so we gained alot, he had 4 4" areos to  1 126"^2 (31 x4 i think)

there is still alot left in this box IMO, I did the resin trick, but I didnt coat the entire inside,  I also had some crack on me( I made the resin way to hot, it was damp so I made it warmer than usual and well, it was way to fn hot I could feel the heat  through the mixxing bucket lol)

I would like to try a bigger box subz up port back with more port area, I didnt design or build the first box, or he can give me the go ahead to Glassin the back of the car to add 2 more MT's

and see if we can blow the back hatch open.  it gets down real low and nasty I know I enjoyed watching people look at us as we drove down the street lol.
