dmanson Posted July 30, 2008 Report Share Posted July 30, 2008 Well the plan for my electrical is, a custom built 300 Amp alt.(got a guy around here building me one for the low) Optima yellowtop under the hood All 1/0 for the Big 3 1/0 front to back to the 4 extra batteries(prolly gonna be yellowtops too unless anyone thinks kinetiks or powermasters would be better) Do you think that would be sufficient for 1 or 2 3000d's? you'd get more juice out of a kinetik or powermaster battery than optima yellowtop. i'm only running a yellowtop underhood because it was given to me for free brand new. for two 3000ds i'd do at least three of the biggest batteries from either company and a few runs of that 1/0 Quote 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.
