Rf T1k Questions

Recommended Posts

Okay this is the last question thread before I get pics/vids of bumping promise :)

1) The RF T1K has 2 sets of speaker connections. I use the left one correct?

2) I know I should have the bass knob up all the way when setting gains tomorrow morning - what do I do with the knob on the right? From 35 to 70 Hz? What is this even for and what should I keep it a?

3) Is it okay to bump for a day with the amp not secured down?

4) What if I don't know which RCA is left and right :) :) is that okay or does it matter?

Thank you so much .... experienced users only please - I need this before 9 AM tomorrow.

Thank SO MUCH I will flood the forum with pics/vids tomorrow :)

1) Either one, they're internally paralleled.

2) Don't know.

3) I'd assume it wouldn't be the safest thing to do.

4) Don't think it'd matter since subwoofers are mono.

1. Either one will work

2. Personally i keep my bass knob to 0 and turn up my gain accordingly, you can turn your bass knob up a bit but i wouldnt turn up the bass knob all the way to set the gains. Try and find like a happy medium without any distortion then back it off just a tad. Not the proper way to set the gain but works fine if done ok. The knob on the right im assuming is the bass frequency cutoff. If so any Hz above what you set it at the bass will be filtered out. I would set it closer to 70 but thats up to you.

3. I would say yes, being a decently heavy amp i highly doubt the amp will be jumping around so i wouldnt worry about it. If its in your trunk just be careful your box cant slide into.

4. Not sure if i understand your question, either one will work fine, although sometimes amps will require you to split the rca's to input in all the channels for the total power but i doubt that amp will needs that. Also it cant hurt to play around with it, it cant hurt to try every configuration possible and see which works best.

Hope that helps

2) I know I should have the bass knob up all the way when setting gains tomorrow morning - what do I do with the knob on the right? From 35 to 70 Hz? What is this even for and what should I keep it at?

The left knob is the level of the bass boost.

The right knob is the freq/hz of the bass you are boosting any where from 0 to 18 db of boost according to how your left knob is set.

and yes when setting the gain, and you are using bassboost, try to set your gain with the bass boost at your desired level, this way when you turn it up, it will not clip the signal/amp/sub(s).

So if your wanting full bass boost your gain will not be up as far as if you where having almost no bass boost which would give you a higher gain setting.
