jonathancullen89 Posted July 31, 2008 Report Share Posted July 31, 2008 with all the audio equiptment in my car i need a securty system, im going to college in the fall so im looking for one that has an lcd screen and has at least a 1/2 mile range. im not really sure of what features i need i just dont want my shit stolen, and if my car gets broken in to i want to know about it so i can go beat someone. thanks any make/model, also where i would find them. The range is a half mile in each direction... that is where they come up with the one mile. It is a great unit, I put them on weekly and never have troubles with them. *edit* now that i read on there website that might not be right on the range, but i could have sworn a rep told me that before. reinke Posted August 1, 2008 Report Share Posted August 1, 2008 well that is still decent. about how long would it take to install myself? i have a 5-speed so i wont be using remote start. you can still put a remote starter on a manual. just look for tim thread about his wifes car. the autopage RS-900 and RS-1000 are both very good untis. they also have the options of adding there c3 feature. it allows you to control your car through a pc or your cel phone.
