Critical Mass UL12 Is probably one of the best SQ subs, but they are very expensive. They are like anywhere from $1200-$2000 for one.

I havn't got to hear the newest model but the stereo integrity v2(I think thats the one) I had sounded very good and got decently loud I still liked my 05 xxx more though. I don't think one would fit under that seat though

have you thought about running smaller subs like 2 ported 8's or something?

Ok, so what is the answer? What is the best SQ sub and what size? If price did'mt matter... B&W, Morel, Focal, Fi? I want to do a pure sq set up, and I just read this whole post and it just goes back and fourth about the JL... My boss was so mad at me, cause I never sold a single JL product. Just to over priced for what you get.

Focal Access loaded 12 Enclosure only $450-500 and sounds amazing.. box specifically designed for it so no worries on poor installation.. Not for a pickup but good for an suv

This thread is completely amazing! I can guarantee you that i can take any one of these subs mentioned, including the pyle drivers(lol) and make them sound like ass, or have an amazingly flat response. 70-80% of sound quality comes from numerous factors including enclosure, tuning( including working through the peak freq of your vehicle), and loading of the driver. Come on people! get your head out of your rears and do what audio enthusiasts love to do, experiment! Drivers are all a matter of opinion and how much work is involved in creating the flat response. Although I didnt say 100% cuz some drivers are just too peaky to play flat. I've had incredible SQ off a 15" Fi Q for some time now. Also remember sometimes manufactures recommendations are not always correct. For instance the Q. I heard a 15" Q in 4.8cu@28 and it sounded awesome! sounded better than in the recommended enclosure size!

I'm guessing Ray is the only one who read the guys actual post where he stated that the W7 was too pricey which means he obviously doesn't want to spend $1k+ which is probably why people were recommending the FI's and DC's
