Circle cutting

What kind of router bit do you guys use for cutting circles with your jasper 200 circle cutter.

a black and decker plunge router. cheap and gets the job done with no problem. also, a double fluted carbide bit

Use a dual flutted bit, and go slow.  I usually make 3 passes, each pass lowering the bit a little until I'm all the way through.  MDF is some really dense stuff, so if you try to go too fast you'll burn the wood.

1 pass here.....1/4" straight cut bit cuts thru like butter.

probably......even my $59 Ryobi could do it in one pass.  Now i eventually burnt it up because the cheap ass Ryobi stuff probably isnt meant for daily torture just a few things once in a while.  I just got a new Porter Cable for $160 and it SCREAMS thru the circles twice as fast as the Ryobi did.

i got a harbor frieght, (dunno if they are everywhere but we have one in fresno) router, a chicago brand, has worked great for me, and the best part is if it breaks it was 19 bucks.  As for the bit i use the same one as Meade stated.

i got a black and decker jigsaw... w/ a pipe cutter bit... cuts smooth but a lil rough... nothing sanding can't help... :construction:
