raytard
clipped music as in a clipped signal, which is really common on mp3's. The basic part of compression is taking away all dynamic range, making the low noises as loud as the loud noises, and eliminating all and the extra data. The problem is that the loud noises are affected too, often pushed to the range of clipping, where part of the wave is clipped off because the signal expands past the usable bandwith of volume. that being said, it is entirely in what music is played off of the thumb drive, not the fact that a thumb drive is being used. Derrick824
Well I just recently purchased a Clarion USB head unit and I love it. No more skipping for me. Yay! I use to have to hold my head unit in my hand during Bass Race runs.
99vic
maybe its just where i get my music. i just know that when i compared cd to memory stick i noticed a difference. i also never noticed before i looked into it. but everybody has their own opinion. dont take my word on anything, its just what i have noticed Edited August 12, 2008 by 99vic Quote REST IN PARADISE BIG RICH (Sqmonte) never forgotten Why do you guys ALWAYS dispute on NUMBERS????? The Performer
I had always thought that mp3 is an always better quality rather than cd. Depending on how the mp3 is read and such is what determines how well it sounds. Using an mp3 player through the headphone jack is a terrible way to go in my opinion, however the full speed ipod and usb route would seem better, (basically the same as mp3 cd's) In my situation I almost ALWAYS go with data cd's and I try my hardest to get my songs in 320kb/s quality. Never less than 128. Quote CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! Not being new at something doesn't mean anything.
