Hmmmm...How big is your microwave? Otherwise....bending it sideways till the seals leaked? David Posted August 4, 2007 Author Report Posted August 4, 2007 actually I want the gas out of the strut body so i can weld on it without fear of killing myself. the bag will act as my suspension anyway so it would just be a empty strutbody with a bag. Chris can you look in your computer at work to see if you can find a servicable strut for a 85ish jetta??
roscoe1129 Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 I know of a guy that would wrap a wet/ damp towel around his struts b4 doing any welding to keep em cool, anyway when are we gonna see some real work done to this hoopty?? Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer Scientia est Vox "In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti" DONT BE AFRAID TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! SMD SUPER BUYER/SELLER
David Posted August 4, 2007 Author Report Posted August 4, 2007 as soon as I can figure out my front end issues and have all the bugs worked out on the bags adding the larger rim and tire I will have to roll the fenderwells and pull them out abit, once I get this working 100% the rest of the build will start, I have 4 sheets of mdf just waiting to get going.
David Posted August 7, 2007 Author Report Posted August 7, 2007 I started the under-the-hood wiring, I have more done than this, my camera batts died after that first pic, hopefully more pics tomorrow. 1/0 stinger custom FTW the yellow top is only there untill I can get the D3100 from Powermaster.

Chris can you look in your computer at work to see if you can find a servicable strut for a 85ish jetta?? Yea I'll def take a look for ya. See if I can come up w/ anything: Can you give me the length specs (collapsed & open and maybe a shot/pic or 2 of the mounting config as far as horizontal/vert mounting bolts would help) I'm pretty sure NAPA actually has em listed that way as far as custom applications and just tell em length/mounting setup/and load. But we have that book too I'll look ASAP.
