datbenz Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 Whats the advantage of steel cage? When its very strong then you lose less dBs?
roscoe1129 Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 Great updates man!! Didnt know you were gonna take the roof all the way forward but that will be the strongest!!! Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer Scientia est Vox "In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti" DONT BE AFRAID TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! SMD SUPER BUYER/SELLER
David Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Posted February 23, 2008 originally I wasnt gonna do the roof like this, but this way it will be the strongest, and thats all that matters at this point. welding upside down is no joke let me tell yea, and I still have about 10 pieces or so to weld in, then I can start the sides which will be the hardest todo.
AI James Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 if i lived closer i wouldnt mind weekend grinding for ya, that stuff doesnt bother me, i actually prefer it over my desk job lol. looking good so far.
David Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Posted February 23, 2008 LOL hell yeah I prefer it over my normal job too, right now its raining cats and dogs out there and I have no protection from the rain, not enough room in the garage to get the car in. DatBenz, this is an extreme car, they are built to be as strong as possible, for a few reasons. 1) the stronger the car the louder it gets with less power ( thats the theory anyhow) 2) to help hold in all the pressure that builds up while playing Music or burping it= louder scores Extreme Cars are what made this sport ( db drag, bassrace, meca, usaci, iasca) so popular back in the day, Tim Maynards Extreme Rockford fosgate Blazer blew me away back in the day, and I have wanted to build something like that ever since, and Now I am.
