Looks awesome David..Keep up the good work bro...I have a few quick questions for ya...What model Hobart are you using? is it the handler 140? Your welds still look like you are using too much wire speed...I would suggest setting it up using a scrap piece of tubing...start on voltage C, and adjust your wire speed slow enough to where it actually burns through the tubing...then bring it up slowly from there to where it does not immediately burn through...this will help you achieve better looking welds and save you on wire

yeah after doing some more research, and playing with the welder and some scrap material, I wanted to show you, just how much I have improved, also saving wire and labor ( less grinding) .

some pics, just some scrap in the garage I welded up this morning, dont really feel like working on the car right now, been a long week.

ohh and I also do better on the thicker metal, still learning.

Awesome David...looks much better...my only suggestion now is to turn your wire speed down just a hair or move the puddle a little faster and it will help your beads look that much better...along with less material to grind down. Now all you gotta work on is puddle control...but that comes with time. If I am coming off like an ass please let me know...I have a habit of doing that without even meaning to...I'm just tryin to give you a lil constructive critisism and help you out.

looks good maybe someday car manufactures will catch on and realize that putting a wall of subs in new cars will make them safer than side airbags. just a thought.
