assman
i think my hearing is fine.....my ears actually ring more when i listen to metal at higher levels. Them damn screaming guitars seem to do more damage then low frequency bass IMO. Well said, the higher frequencies seem to hurt my ears more then the lows as well. The lows hurt your body more. ChiefDankBud
Could I just get like Best Buy or whoever to do it? You could. If you have an ABT around you I'd highly reccomend them. They did an amazing job with everything safely and performence wise. The one by me has 5 of the top 10 certified Alpine installers, so they are a little bit on the pricy side for the installation but they will do a very good job. I had them put my amplifier under my front seat so people wouldn't see it and make theft less likely. check out their site http://www.abtelectronics.com/ Quote 2003 Pontiac Vibe Dark Red 18" Motegi MR-7's 2 Alpine Type-R 6.5" Coaxial Speakers on the front doors Alpine CDA Head Unit w/IPod Cable Alpine V-Power mono mr650 12" Alpine Type-R(2 Ohm) Subwoofer Dynamat in the trunk with the liscense plate and, 2 Stock tweaters in the front, with the stock speakers in the back seats
milesmiles
Cool, thanks for the tips. What would happen if the subwoofers aren't getting sufficient power? Also, at what combination of subwoofers do you think I could do hairtricks?

milesmiles
Yeah, I wouldn't want to mess things up the first time. Maybe for my second setup I could do it myself.
kylecm85
its not that hard to do a basic amp sub combo. But if you do not feel comfortable doing it take it to a shop and have them do it. In the mean time just do some research and figure out how things work and how to hook them up. If you have questions dont be afraid to ask someone that is why people join forums to talk about things and ask questions good luck.
