Testing Big Boy Monster 15"

Great Numbers for one sub Jacob. Get some more juice to those batts and you will see a 150 no problem.

Good Work :good:

Yes sir! :)

Nate @ Excessive Amperage is working up a 225-amp alternator with his new smaller pulley for me, that should help.

yeh you seem to have the right batteries so keeping a good charge on them would do the trick.

Definitely nice! So this woofer will be a lot more stable with power as compared to the Nightshade correct?

They handle more power - if that is what you mean.

The coil is absolutely massive on these and I have a special cooling setup in this motor.

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

so how much power are you running to this 6000-7000? am I correct in thinking this is only being burped at this wattage?

I have not clamped the power - I doubt I am getting the full usage of these amps with this electrical setup.

And yes, I am only burping it at full tilt so far. I do play it pretty loud on music, up until the CD player skips uncontrollably anyway *laughs* Will do more longer-term high power testing once that gets resolved with a new HU that accepts iPod input.

PS: We did play with it on our test bench and took 5 videos as posted in the other thread one after the other with an *actual* clamped 2400-watts of power, so we already know it has some very good potential.
