EricM9104
Well...? Sorry, I'm new to this, also, since I'm needing each port to be 24.40" (flared port length), where do I measure for that? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...352&scqty=2 EDIT: ok. what i meant was, say i get 4" pvc pipe. would the flares included with the aeroports work? audiofanaticz
no, pvc will not be a areo port. pvc will just be a round port. Unless you flair the ends, but whats to say you will get a proper flare on both ends, and if you dont it may cause turbulence or port noise. and areo ports can be tuned and tuned again if you got spare sleeves. very easy for swapping out ports. EricM9104
well, what i meant, was using the flares that comes with the aero, but the included "straight" pipe isn't long enough for me to do a 35hz tuning, hence why i need pvc to substitute the non-flared pipe that's included. Noobtastic14
i dont believe the PP flares will work on PVC pipe. the PVC i have is 1/4" thick and the PP i've used was either 1/8" thick or thinner (pretty damn thin after using PVC) Hope that helps. -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Yay, I can finish my box next week... if the box isn't too big. (originally designed for slot port, fucked up the port cutout... doing Aeroport instead. EDIT: FUCK I READ THAT WRONG.... Forevrbumpn
use MDF to make the flares, dont be a sissy lol... jk I have a fat ass round over bit I use, and I double up on the wood, recess the PVC No its not a true aero, but you hear---- Nothing Just clean solid bass This is with just a 3/8s round over, I have about a 3/4" round over now, so that lip is ALOT wider, and thats a 6" PVC just for comparison, that box is bigger than it looks Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
