bigbodylexus
Could I run (2) 12" Fi BL's with a Sundown SAZ-3000D? they only handle 1000 watts, but I figure with the right box I could get them to take up to 1400. Any ideas? 1990 Chevy Suburban (Big Booty Judy) (4) Sundown Audio Zv5 18's (1) Sundown Audio Salt 12K (1) Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 (1) Sundown Audio SAE-50.4 (2) Crossfire ST-1 Tweeters (2) Obsidian Audio ST-1 tweeters (4) Sundown Audio Neo Pro v3 6.5's Saving 2nd Bass

I never have had an amp that I had the gain more than 1/2 up. I know that I will have to upgrade my electrical I just don't want to fry my subs. 1990 Chevy Suburban (Big Booty Judy) (4) Sundown Audio Zv5 18's (1) Sundown Audio Salt 12K (1) Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 (1) Sundown Audio SAE-50.4 (2) Crossfire ST-1 Tweeters (2) Obsidian Audio ST-1 tweeters (4) Sundown Audio Neo Pro v3 6.5's Saving 2nd Bass

Boon
Most 'decent' subs will take at least twice rated power if you're careful with them and build the box right. But if you even think about clipping it the magic smoke will be released. The power rating is mostly there for idiot-proofing... ever seen anyone scared of giving a DD 9515 3000wrms even though they're rated at only 1500w... 10.x volts fo' life!
