truck_buster23
I noticed that the cone was getting a little warm after playing for a few minutes. I did not smell anything burning. I use a Hifonics BXi2608D, the amp gets a little warm too but not now where hot so I think that is normal. But is this normal for high power subs? Any help would be great. pstone11
Gains set correctly with a multimeter? Have you checked your sub resistance at the amp (speaker wires disconnected of course)? Quote Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page! Decaf
wired in parallel hopefully? dmm... did you set the ac voltage to 49v w/50hz test tone @ 3/4 volume? the brutus amps do get warm... especially at 1 ohm

No I did not check the resistance bit will. wired in parallel hopefully?dmm... did you set the ac voltage to 49v w/50hz test tone @ 3/4 volume? the brutus amps do get warm... especially at 1 ohm I set it too 48v but it's too much for the sub in this box I think I had to back the gain off. dwright27
idk you may be clipping the sub even with the electrical upgrades you have. truck_buster23
idk you may be clipping the sub even with the electrical upgrades you have. Yeah I was thinking that too. My voltage is between 12v-13.8v, I need to get my kinetik in. Quote Eclipse Hifonics Alpine Kinetik Optima Excessive Amperage alt
truck_buster23
my dmm leads must be bad it reads all over the sub sounds fine and plays loud and I double checked the wiring and it's wired for 1 ohm. the amp and sub are brand new so maybe it's clipping because I dont have enough voltage.
