alvitae
If youwant to pay a couple extra bucks the Audiocontrol Epic-160 is a fun gadget. It has a db meter and a voltmeter along with the epicenter. The db meter has a setting that will hold your highest db.
Forevrbumpn
^ which is inacurate within like 10 db but yeah, fun to have just to see peaks but gotta subtract almost 10db from those numbers Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. sully
The AudioControl Epicenter is the best available. Check out their site to see the related equipment they suggest to get the most out of their products. If you burn MP3 CD's or use an Ipod or equivilent you should look into this product because it does analyze the signal and do a good job replicating the bass freq's that are cut off by the compression format. AudioControl is an American owned company that produces all of their stuff here in the states, this is probably why it is a little more expensive but the quality is top knotch. The Epicenter is not for everybody but those who like it, swear by it. Make sure your box is tuned to get the low notes or you are wasting alot of what you will gain from the product and a flatter bass response (box design) seems to sound better with the Epi since it does all the work on the "bass boost". I have noticed some loss of woofer control on the low end when you turn up the remote knob on rap songs so be careful to avoid premature woofer failure. The Performer
Sweet, we're making a pretty good thread on all the info on epicenters, thanks tons guys! Maybe we could get this to be a sticky for anyone else looking into them. I remember when I was searching for it a while back I couldn't find barely ANY good threads on the subject, but this one is turning out to be damn good and insightful. Quote CERTIFIED BITCHES!!!
